  • Model on title please

  • Can someone tell me how this is better/worse than a $5000 TV the same size?
And from both the professional's point of view and the non-educated point of view?

This is mini LED not as good as OLED in term of contrast ratio but I reckon still very good.

      Edge-lit < Full Array < mini LED < OLED

Nice, succinct description. We took delivery of this TV (in 85") last week and to my eyes, the blacks are black. Mini LED is great bang for buck compared to OLED for those (like me) that aren't looking for the best of the best but still appreciate good picture quality.

Thanks for that but I think they mean the Qn85c vs qn90c or at least that's what is like to know

        • they mean the Qn85c vs qn90c

Of course QN90C is better, with the "C" series I am not 100% sure because the old QN85B use IPS panel which is not as good as VA panel like the QN90B, couldn't find any information what panel we have with the Q85C model locally here.

  • We just got this from JB with the 15% perks voucher (for $100 more… oh well). IPS has its flaws, but the quality of the local dimming seems to do a great job of offsetting them, with minimal bloom. I'm upgrading from a >decade old bravia though, so anything would look good to my eyes, but I'm really happy with it.

HDMI 2.1 across all ports and 4K120/VRR/Gsync/Freesync support is pretty great at this price, feels like the right combination of panel features, connectivity features, protocol support to stave off Constant Upgrade Syndrome at a decent price. (no dolby vision though, might be a dealbreaker for some).

Contrast is definitely not on the same level as a family members' OLED (obviously), but I'll take a slight loss in that area for zero burn in risk over the long term.
