Wireless solar outdoor security cam options < $150 with cloud backup/recording

HI Security camera gurus!
Looking to install few (3-5) decent security cameras around the house, with solar and rechargeable battery and found the following interesting/good value:

  1. https://reolink.com/au/product/argus-3-pro/?attribute_pa_ver…
  2. https://reolink.com/au/product/argus-2e/?attribute_pa_versio…
  3. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0B5V18GFX/?coliid=I2ZDH49VV0D4…
  4. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0B3X7PW5G/?coliid=I2VQMP68Q74G…

Keen to know:

  1. How long the video clip is when motion is detected
  2. Any option to record free in cloud storage (such as google, amazon etc) or need to buy from reolink
  3. Review from anyone who might have used any of these.
  4. Any other suggestion around $150 budget

PoE/NVR/wired is not a good option for me(2 story home, complex cabling for where I need the cameras as per few electricians) and thinking solar may be a good option as no need to dismantle the camera to recharge the battery. I have good internet & wireless signal so hoping the cameras would work well.

Thanks in advance.

Can recommend Reolink Argus range for nice app, good features and reliability. It think video length would go up to (at least) 30 seconds. But it doesn’t matter too much as there will be recordings as long as there is motion.

    • Are you using any cloud storage for recording? Thanks

No I am only using local recording. I don’t want my data to be stored on cloud.

    Recommend you this https://www.iegeek.com/
I had 2 rechargeable for about 3 months out door used.still run good,

    • Seems to be good value comparing features and price. Found them in eBay only. Any other store recommendations? Also how long is the motion detection videos? Thanks

I think you can take your pick these days, never been cheaper to get IP cams and they all seem to have about the same features as each other. Some are more user friendly than others, some detection is more accurate than others too. Mate just had six outdoor EUFY cameras put up each one with a one year battery, crazy cheap. I use Wyze and they have a lot of new cameras now that they didn't offer a year ago, with detection built in instead of relying on cloud.

    • They the 4k Solar Eufy cams supposedly can run endless without charging battery as long as they get enough sunlight hitting on their solar panels, even if different model love too know which one and your thoughts with them 😉

    • Can’t agree more. Features are so similar that it’s mind boggling to choose the better one. started looking into Wyze and iegeek too besides Eufy and reolink.

  • What have you decided on OP?
