Business Insurance for a CNC Machine Shop

Hi,
Settings up my own manufacturing place is my dream & bought a machine, never thought insuring the business will be a big deal.
Now need help in finding insurer or broker to insure a new Machining business. Where i will be sole operator & running a CNC Mill & Machining parts as per Customer drawing.
If anyone got any recommendations please throw them in.

QBE, NRMA & called others they don't insure this sort of business.

It's seeming like Its really hard to Manufacture in Australia.

TIA

  • Most likely you need insurance broker. I use Acurancy.

    • Thanks will contact them

  • We use Bluewell Insurance brokers, if you are in a residential area you may find it difficult to insure.

    • Thanks, its in Commercial area & will have to get a broker.

…because you can't find an insurance broker?

    • Because someone working on TFN & getting all the insurances online, I got to know its almost impossible to get Business insurance without a Broker.

…which has nothing to do with manufacturing.

Hopefully, the broker will advise you to ensure you are covered after you close your business. That could mean paying premiums for several years after you cease your business.
