although i do like it, the amount of cleaning required even after the self cleaning cycle is more than you'd expect. And if you didn't do it your machine will start to smell real quick. some things to consider
How much extra cleaning is required? I was considering getting this, and the reviews I've come across mention the smell is if you don't wash out the canister regularly. Is there anything else that you need to do for regular maintenance?
I have the ifloor3 and yes you do spend small amount of effort to clean it after using it. There is a self clean feature that cleans the roller and I find it does most of the job. You still need to rinse the roller head if it you want it thoroughly cleaned. The self clean also cleans out the inner parts so it's really just rinse out the dirty water tank + filter, pour away left over clean water, quick rinse of the roller head and lid and wipe away fluff from the roller head assembly. Overall its still much less effort than pushing a mop bucket around and much, much more cleaner floors.

Agree. We sold our Dyad because it was too cumbersome to clean it after it cleaned the floor. The self-cleaning functions on these seem like gimmicks.
yeah I have cord version, takes about a minute to empty the DWT and rinse it clean with water

Are these way better than a Dyson or Miele?
It's a different segment. It vacuums and mops at the same time. Can't use it on carpets.
I'm trying to hold out for the Bissell Crosswave Hydrostream, but this looks tempting..
There's been quite a few reports of users needing to return their vacuum (sometimes multiple times) to Godfreys on the "Mums who clean" fb group. Has anyone one tried to return a vacuum to Godfrey's when the vacuum has been purchased through Ebay? Was it a simple process?
My wife bought the S3 for us and absolutely love it. I've never seen the S5 discounted before.
Really works well at cleaning the floors. I still use the Dyson for standard vacuum activities.
