Recommendation for Perfume (Gift) for 25 Yo Female (Wedding Gift)

Can someone recommend decent quality/smell perfume for 25 yo female.

Budget is around $75.

Edit: Mum asked to buy to be given as a wedding gift. It would be sent overseas. I have no idea about the receiver like/dislike.

  • Narciso Rodriguez for Her EDP - 100ml size is $79 at CWH

Find out what she likes. Perfume is not something you buy without the receivers input.

    • No idea

Mum asked to buy it for a cousin to be given as a wedding gift. It will be sent overseas.

        Just give cash.

Maybe Mum could make some discreet enquires with the family on what the cousin normally wears. Not trying to diss your mother but this has all the hallmarks of a gift that will be relegated to the back of a draw.

You're going to end up paying more for shipping the item than what it's worth. Perfume is considered dangerous goods so it will cost you a fortune to send it overseas…

        • +1

It will be carried by a friend who is travelling overseas, so shipment is not a problem :)

Might as well get this one.

I'm not sure what is worst, asking what Perfume for 25 Yo Female or asking for a girl in a forum.

To the downvoter; why are you booing me, I'm right!

      Why?

Well, there are some 8,000 perfumes that were profiled, out of those, a person usually picks hand full mainly based on how its smells on their skin. So if you have given some random $75, higher chance of it smelling awful/dislike.

  • Buy a handbag insteaad

Perfumes are classified as hazardous chemicals, check with Aust post and regulations.

  • Haha yeah, sending perfume overseas may not be as straight forward as you think. But if you are going to do it anyway, and you have no idea on tastes, then just pick the fanciest most pretentious looking sh*t you can get for your budget. At least if it doesn't smell good, they can still say they have Chanel or whatever.

    • +1

Since when can you get Chanel perfume for $75 or less?

      • -2

look idk. You probably can't. I think you're missing the point

      • Get fake Chanel. Or buy an empty Chanel bottle on eBay and refill it with Chemist Whorehouse copy.
Perfume is one of those goods (Velben?) where utility depends on the perceived price.
If people think it was expensive, they like it. Some people (braver than I) might say it is the same with wine.

        • Half true. A simple mass spec run would tell you there's a difference in materials/chemicals (ingredients) between a fake and real thing.

    • Lol that's like buying la cola for a group party.

Do you know if she even wears perfume?
Some women don't, and others are allergic to some scents, so it may not be a well received gift at all.
Those that do wear perfume tend to prefer specific ones. Buying a random perfume is not a good gift.

      Agree.

    gucci guilty

  • Will cost additional $75 to send this perfume overseas

  • One of the Taylor Swift perfumes would be topical right now with people going bananas over tickets to her show.

Who gifts a bride a perfume as a wedding gift?

    • maybe she stinks?

Issey Miyake for women would be a reliable choice.

Or Jimmy Choo, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs.
Just pick a well known brand and whatever is within budget.

Perfume is a very personal thing. I like to choose it myself and have never really liked perfume I've received as a gift.
Perhaps you could buy her a voucher for a local store so she can choose it herself?

  • Femme Fresh, Oh! De Toilet

Don't kids these days only want money for weddings? I'm imagining a dozen toasters, and 55 sets of cutlery at the reception otherwise.

  • Replica - Beach Walk by MAISON MARGIELA PARIS.
    10ml is $50, 30ml $105

    edit*
I've purchased Beach Walk, its beautiful but im sensitive to perfumes so I dont wear it much. Its floral bright.. very summertime in the best of ways. Personally I wear 'By The Fireplace' by Maison Margiela regularly, its earthy smokey sweet.
