Buying Headset/Headphone

Hello~
I've decided to buy a new set of headsets after both my Razer Carchias and Orca broke down :(
Tomorrow I'll buy the Logitech G930 from ARC Computers for $160.

If anyone has any reasons for not buying these… can you please tell me asap? :D

Maybe; http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/78432
That is better?

Thanks!

Should be about $125 inc shipping from amazon. Also, if wireless and mic isn't a huge issue I would check out the Audio Technica ATH-M50s that are floating around on special atm, myself and a mate just combined shipping on a pair of ATH-M50s for me and Logitech G930s for him from amazon, and mine are heads and shoulders ahead in terms of sound quality. Of course, not quite the same freedom of movement etc that wireless affords, and you can't talk to your mates in games or skype without an external mic eg. webcam. I couldn't look past the sound quality though!

EDIT: link to the ATH-M50s http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATHM50S-Professional-Mo…

  • For gaming? I'm sure the G930 is pretty good. I don't own it myself so can't really help, but judging by reviews it seems like a good gaming headset.

For general headphones obviously the M50s.

For Wireless i have the RS170, and they are great, highly recommend if you just want wireless without a mic. I'm sure the rs120 will be pretty good for that price range aswell.

  • I ended up buying the G930 :)

    I like it so far!
It's really quite comfortable how it covers the entire ear.
Setup was pretty simple and the voice morpher is like Siri in a sense how it's just a fun gimmick.
The Dolby Digital sound system works as well, though I only noticed a very minor difference in songs. I'll play Battlefield 3 soon and test it there as well :)

Also, customised the G-keys with this plugin:

I use foobar and VLC so these really help go to pause and skip tracks :)

    • Update #1
It was a huge pain, the driver software in this is terrible!
It couldn't detect that I am on 64-bit OS and kept crashing my applications if they attempted to use and sound.

So I would install software from Disk.
      Reboot.
      Crash apps with sound.

To prevent this, I had to install the drivers from their website or something.

A huge pain since I didn't know what to do.
