Suggest you buy a sim there for best value. Clario had decent coverage and have a specific sim for tourists (note that they are country specific). Was very easy to do, you just need to get cash to pay in store (for some reason no card).
Also, travel tip for Argentina, you can get the blue dollar cash rate by transferring yourself money via Western Union and picking it up as cash at their local branches (many in BA). That way you get a far better FX rate than the 'official' exchange rate (about 2x).
