This. For all its faults, Amazon makes returns hassle free. Many smaller merchants don't have financial capacity - or just simply the inclination - to make returns easy or free.

Yes. I have the zv-1. Its just attached to the cold shoe mount. Which out the box is populated by a plastic spacer.

It's even called after the niche! And totally makes sense to have fixed focal length (so no zooming) when you're supposed to film yourself off your hand/selfie stick with it.
Also fixed lens and focal length makes better quality optics cheaper.
Good luck finding a X100V under 3k. Fujifilms supply chain is busted they can’t even keep up with existing orders let alone new ones. They’ve randomly discontinued cameras like the X-E4 there’s no news of a new X-Pro or X100(?). They launch the X-S200 at the same cost as an X-T5, $1000 more than the X-S100. I love Fujifilm but they need a reality check in terms of pricing.
TBH the x100v is so popular that there is no reason to lower the price. Im certain that it is partially driven by the scarcity
It’s not Fujifilm that has upped the price it’s the scalpers. Scalping can’t be stopped but it’s still scummy. It is obviously driven by scarcity stemming from their supply chain issues.

That’s exactly what I did! It’s crazy the no. of sales Fuji has lost because of this. I had the same conversation with a sales rep from Teds camera the other day.

depends on your usage but better in general I believe (especially in low light performance thanks to the much larger sensor)
I got a ZV-1 and this ZV-1F is the budget version of it (with fixed focal length)
ZV-1 is now my default travel camera due to how compact it is, and a 1" sensor
While it cannot compare to APS-C or full frame cameras
its a very handy and light weight for travel and video shooting
I used to use a A6000 (later upgraded to A6400) with 35 F1.8 prime len for travel
but now changed to ZV-1 as it is small enough to fit into my pocket

ZV-1 is succeeded by the ZV-1 Mark II
Mark II has focal length equiv of 18-50mm (F1.8 - 4.0)
Some have complained that ZV-1 Mark II is not as good as ZV-1 on 50mm due to F4.0
But for Vlog which mainly uses wide angle for selfie, 18mm is always welcome than 24mm
There has been third party lens to overcome ZV-1 wide angle issue
