For this, do you get capped speed data after 200GB?

    • Same question does data keep going after finishing up the 220GB with reduced speed or does it completely run out of data?

  • +3

Before anyone asks >> This starter kit is for new customers only

    • JB requires > 30 days to be new
Hell$tra takes bribes. But refuses esim!
      Woolworth allowes esim.
      Any feedback on Boost?

Can I port out then port back in to Telstra? I'm thinking of paying out my handset and canceling my month to month plan for a cheaper prepaid.

  • +3

    Boost to Telstra? Ok?

  • +1

Boost to Telstra considered a new customer?

  • can this be used with international roaming ? thank you

    • Not Included.
      Thanks

    • I think they have add ons, but it will cost extra

Also wondering if I can port from Boost prepaid to this sim?

    • +3

I have jumped between Telstra and boost over the last few years without issue, using these starter packs. Just make sure you call the hotline to transfer not via the website since it's technically Telstra at the backend and causes issues (recently transferred my wife's number from Telstra to boost starter and got stuck in limbo as I did it via the website).

Strange, I have been doing this every month Telstra > Boost > Telstra

    • @iDrownFish

I went the other way from Telstra and went without a hitch, all done online.

      Received bonus data etc.

I will be going back to Telstra again (had a very inexpensive ;) Boost sim to use up before it expired.

Have a 12 month Telstra prepaid sim to port back with so hopefully seamless again.

Edit : just saw Uncle BucKs comment
I had no issue online so must be luck of the draw…

  • Wondering whats the difference between this ($320 kit) and $300 kit other than bit more data now

    • +1

      More money for Telstra

  • Do you guys use express post?

    • Hi,
Yes, the Express post option is available in the shipping selection area. (With extra cost)
      Thank you

What does Telstra have that Boost doesn't, other than the brand? Trying to justify the extra cost

    • -8

Generally Boost will use Telstra's Wholesale Network which from what I've seen on their coverage map doesn't cover a lot of regional locations. So I guess if you're regional it's best you go with Telstra directly instead of through a wholesaler like Boost.

Boost is the low cost subsidiary of Telstra and uses the full Telstra network. They both offer the same services, just a matter of finding some things that boost may not offer over Telstra

        • I don't think boost does Telstra rural as good as 'Telstra'. Please correct me if I'm wrong with an explanation. I'd switch if boost was identical

      • +2

Agree. I was barely getting a bar at Tangalooma Resort Moreton Island using Boost whilst partner had full signal with Telstra

        • Same phone, same location?

          • +2

@happychappy1: Yep switched sims on phone. No difference. Boost still had poor signal on wifes phone

    • Brand and bands in the spectrum..

    • Boost cap your 5g speeds I believe and Telstra won't?

  • +3

    Teltra has eSim

( not boost last i checked)

    • what about esim for accompanying watch

      • $10 a month extra

        • Does it work with prepaid?

          • @John Doh: So far what I have seen is Telstra One number (additional eSIM for watch) works for Post-Paid only.
If anyone else knows if Telstra Prepaid can have same number on watch - would be interested to know.

  • I’m also curious about Apple Watch add on with tel telstra prepaid. I see comments above but can anyone really confirm on any sites?

  • Why would someone choose this over the Boost 260GB plan for $250. Same network and both have same speed cap. Am i missing anything team? Thanks in advance

    • @MJD91

      Telstra has eSim

      ( main point of difference)

    • I may be wrong but visual voicemail?

  • It's out of stock! Hard luck!

    • It's back in stock.
      Thanks

  • I ordered this on the 4th of July with express post shipping - any idea why the delay?

  • Can you please send us your order number in PM.
    Thanks

  • Currently with Telstra long expiry prepaid, can I port out to amaysim or someone and then port back in with this starter kit??

    Thx for any reply

    • +1

      @RBZ10

Yes can even port to Boost and back

( if you want to stick with Telstra network)

      • +1

        @snappy1234
Thank you for your reply for the porting.
We rather recommend to port out to non telstra network i.e Amaysim, Lebara, optus, vodafone.
        Thanks

  • Can I ask what happens after 220GB run out does internet stops or does it becomes slower?
    Thank you for your help.

    • Hi
      It will stop.
Then you have to buy data add on or recharge again.
      Thanks

  • When does discount finish??

    • When the discounted stock is sold out.
      Thanks

  • Hi guys
Can you transfer a post paid number to this prepaid?
Or do you miss out on bonus data or something like that?
Advice would be good here, if someone has done this.

    Cheers

  • I picked one up at Officeworks price beat - $255.55

    • Do you get Bonus data with it?

      • Yes it’s the same
