Can't afford the new price of a gaming laptop. What would you recommend with a budget of $800 on the used market? Would like something that can play older games at full resolution / settings and newer games at low-med. Not too fussy obviously at this price point but bang for buck is important. Prefer newer gen i5 / i7 / 16GB / 256 SSD. For dedicated card I'm thinking at a minimum the GTX 1650 could be enough. Also is eBay the only place to look for these?

Yes unfortunately. The gaming will be done at home connected to monitor and then used at different locations for other tasks.

Much appreciated for the recommendation. Ordered the Acer Nitro 5 from JW Computers, 16GB, 512GB, GTX1650 for $649. Refurbished with 12 months Acer warranty. The refurbishment is done by Acer which is nice.

Does it have to be a laptop? Obviously much better value options if you're ok with a desktop
