I stumbled across this today and thought it seemed an excellent price for a Dell 27 inch ultrasharp. From a quick look I can't see a cheaper price in the ozbargain archives but let me know if that's wrong!

Not 4k, standard 60Hz refresh rate only, low brightness, average performance but still a good deal for a professional office moniter

    • I’ve gamed on older ultrasharps and had no problem. Don’t know how old this one is, some of these refurbished are ancient, in use for better half of a decade.

      • Some FPS games require more refresh rate and HDR in dark scenerios and this monitor is definitely not the ideal one. Go for it if you just play Minesweeper or Civilization VI. For a office moniter I will say Philips 328P6V advertised earlier in OZB is great for half of the price and bigger screen

had the 2021 version of this,

    so average,

the new ultrasharps are not what they used to be

What's the best replacement for an ultrasharp these days?

      • well, i put mine up against a newer Dell 4k, Samsung TN panel 4k and old 2013 Ultrasharp,

the Ultrasharp 2021 is gone now,
the 2013 ultrasharp has a lot of inputs which is handy and is way more brighter,

paid $650 for 2021 ultrasharp expecting something good but it was just very average, even next to supposedly inferior monitors.

get the cheap non ultrasharp dell 4k, or anything really, this is just waste of money imho

        • Interesting! So the colour etc wasn’t any good? Am open to recommendations around the price of this refurb for video and photo work.

          • @dealbrry: im not sure,
just sharing my experience. nothing more really

i think the 4k dell costs about this much new, still using mine, it's great

Graphic designer here and I use a Spyder pretty much every week to calibrate.

Believe it or not I am a mad fan of the S2721 series. I have three of them in my setup one portrait and the other two landscape.

Sure they are not Mac retinas but what is apart from them and how many thousand do you need to spend?

        • Ok cool, so it sounds like the S2721 is a better option at this price range. Cheers for that!

  • pretty dumb to spend that much on this, even brand new one still questionbal

What else would you spend money on?
These are great quality monitors and the warranty and support from Dell is amazing.

      • This isn’t a monitor for gaming, maybe they’re confused.

Note that I don't think this one charges your computer while providing video output via USB-C.

You need the DE model or the P2723QE, which has the same panel and other specs, but can't daisy chain DP ports.

I bought a new G3223D recently for this price.

  • Nice find! The Dell S2722QC (27 inch 4K USB-C) was available on the Dell Factory Outlet for $369: https://www.dell.com/en-au/outlet/shop/monitors/refurbished-….

    • Thanks, was this recently? I can’t see it there now.
