These one way fares from Rex include checked luggage and carry-on.
Rex also has the lowest cancellation rate of any airline in Australia in the past month.

If looking for a return flight, consider that two one ways can sometimes be cheaper.

Note that Rex's new route, Hobart <-> Melbourne only starts on August 17th.

Consider one of the more unusual accommodation options in Australia for your stay.

how are they comapred to jetstar/qantas, virginsblue

        • +3

Qantas - 'full service', more expensive, etc, includes everything (Wifi, food, luggage)
Virgin - 'lite' fares are cheapest, usually have wifi, nothing else but carryon.
Jetstar- no frills, carry on only, pay extra for everything else.
Rex - not same level as Qantas, but includes checked luggage, a refreshment etc.

What most people are concerned with lately aside from price is delays/cancellations - see the statistics here: https://www.bitre.gov.au/statistics/aviation/otp_month

          • @beatthatflight: Qantas food is literally just a can of soft drink and a packet of cheese+crackers

not getting on a 737 max

    • +1

Rex don't have enough money to own a max 😂

      • max should be free with a warning

    • Good thing they only fly 737NG.

      • -2

NG has non conforming parts installed

  • Anyone who flied with rex before? How does it compare with Jetstar or Virgin? Cheers.

Thanks for sharing your experience mate!

Jetstar seat pitch is tight compared to Virgin and Rex, and no food/beverage and check-in luggage, basically pay for everything. Virgin and Rex same seats but Virgin only free tea coffee water, not even an in-flight magazine. Virgin has better frequencies and better lounge than Rex. Unless absolutely on a budget, Jetstar might not be the best value.

  • Nope!

Tried it and it only offers JetStar flights.

I WILL NEVER USE MY 'hard earns' TO PAY TO ANY QANTAS BUSINESS WHILST THE "TWISTED LEPRECHAUN" REMAINS AMONGST US.
