  Has anyone got experience with these? They look like a fun introduction to robotics and programming, but are there better options?

    I’ve got their 10 in 1 kit though I haven’t opened it yet.
    I believe MakeBlock are one of the most organised and well support stem type things and they’ve been around for ages.
    They might also have some support for iPad app playgrounds too.

    As this robot appears to use geared DC motors instead of stepper motors, did it travel in a straight line when used "as a remote control car" (as described on the Amazon webpage)?

    I ask because one of the motors will be turning "in reverse" compared to the other one, and DC motors don't necessarily have the same torque/speed when operated in reverse.
