I've not used airpods pro. I am an android for home and iPhone for work user. These are excellent but not perfect for both devices
Pros are super comfortable, stay in ears, superb sound and silencing. Good on ear controls.
Cons they only connect to one device at a time. Cost a fortune. The case is bulkier than many others . Can't ever turn ANC off ?
That said they do change over between pairing between devices easily and quickly

I bought the Bose from the last deal for my iPhone and iPad, superb ANC when it worked, had lots of issues in the first week with not connecting, disconnecting and only left side working. Tried everything from sync, re-sync to hard reset to no avail. I have always been a big Bose fan but not this time. For the price I expected it to be fit for purpose and work 100% of the time and not 50 or 60% of the time. Anyway, returned it yesterday under its 30 day 'Excitement Guarantee' and bought myself an Airpod Pro 2 instead.

I have the gen 1's. They are so annoying. It goes into sleep mode as soon as the sound clip is finished, so the next time you play an audio sample of anything, the first second is cut off. This only happens with some apps not all. But it's very frustrating. I hope they fixed that here. Also I keep dropping them while trying to stick them in my ear which doesn't happen with other pods.
Bose also have no way to turn ANC off. Instead you have 3 presets to choose between 0 to 10. 10 being max ANC, and 0 being full transparency mode. All I want is no transparency and no ANC mode. I set it to 5, but I know it's not the same as ANC off.
Can anyone give me some tips on this vs gen 1?
I just ordered gen 1 from amazon for $149.
I just want to use them for travelling / commuting, lawn mowing, and sleeping (when neighbours having party).
Comfort and battery probably more important for me, rather than sound quality.

received mine today, its a great great sound, but quite poor quality with phone calls.
also the blockout noise is replaced with slight-hissing sound, I found this very consistent across all earphones with this feature.
