20-50% off All Watches: Citizen Blue Angels Navihawk CB5848-57L $599 Delivered @ The Watch Factory

160

Armchair pilots, strap in. Coming in on your six is the Citizen Promaster Navihawk Blue Angels CB5848-57L.

What does it feature? What doesn't it feature!

  • Chronograph
  • Perpetual Calendar
  • Tachymeter
  • Compass
  • Alarm
  • Daylight savings indicator
  • Power reserve indicator
  • World time indicator for 23 cities
  • Radio-controlled timekeeping
  • Eco drive, no battery or winding required
  • Sapphire crystal
  • 44mm case, will look just right over your nomex flight glove
  • Mesh bracelet with links for sizing
  • WR 200m
  • Additional shock resistance

And, no doubt, there is more. So many features you'll auger in working your way through them all.

Best other price I could find was $699 at Starbuy, but it's out of stock anyway. Citizen RRP is the usual optimistic $1,199, the regular going price before it went OOS at most places was around the $800 mark.

The renders don't do the colours justice. Here is some gun camera footage:

How many do they have? I'm not sure, one less that's for sure because it is winging its way over to me.

There are quite a few other Citizens on special, I haven't checked them all for how good their prices are, but feel free to have at it:

Here are some that are the cheapest that I could find, or not available elsewhere:
https://watchfactory.com.au/collections/promotion/products/a… - $187 if you don't have enough green watches
https://watchfactory.com.au/products/bl5568-54l - $349 midnight blue perpetual calendar chrono
https://watchfactory.com.au/collections/promotion/products/b… - $599 BFD (big fecking diver) - 46mm, depth memory, rapid ascent alarm
https://watchfactory.com.au/collections/promotion/products/c… - $1,049 - titanium, GPS, sapphire, RRP $2,099, can't find it anywhere else. Another proper-ass diver.

Clear skies, aviators. Kick the tyres and light the fires!

nice detail: the tiny screws and subdial bezels…are they applied or printed?

    • I'm guessing printed given it's a citizen and all of the screws align perfectly.

From one of the links above…

They also have a fun screwed-in look

If you look at the pictures here:
      https://bahrain.citizenshop.me/model/CB5848-57L
then it seems clear to me that they are applied, not printed.

      • They do have a 3D look for sure. Hmmm.

Confirming from the copy in my hot little hands, 100% applied. Indices and 'Citizen' logo is also applied.

I didn't list this one because I grabbed the last one in stock:
    https://watchfactory.com.au/products/ca4453-14e

I hadn't seen it before but I'm a sucker for rose gold and black. Plus, eco drive and sapphire. What's not to like?

I need a name for it though for the obvious design inspiration. Daytizen? Citizona?

    • That one looks good! I also like Sapphire, eco drive, but I also want date/day function.
Good is also good but not mandatory.

      Any good deal?

      • Citizen AT2149-85X can be had for $274 at the moment.
Date only, but eco drive, sapphire and chrono function, not bad for that price. If you like green.
        https://www.citizenwatches.com.au/products/at2149-85x

Push a bit more and you can get the CB5034-91W for $440.
Day/date (day on a subdial), eco drive, sapphire, radio control - it's the same E660 caliber as the Navihawk in the title, so inherits all those features. A serious amount of watch for the price.

To get the E660 with splashes of gold, the CB5919-00X is what you want but you'll pay full whack.

  • Very busy watch!

    • An absolutely beautiful watch.
