      It actually was difficult but because of cheap boss design. To call it Dark Souls like is an insult to DS. My impressions of the game are from the first release so I don't know if things have been tweaked.

      My issues were:
      Slow, boring procedurally generated environments. Managing stamina in a massive procedurally generated environment that you need to explore isn't fun. At least in DS your stamina recharges quickly.
      Gameplay mechanics from 2000's - attack box for scrap, press E to loot. Repeat x1000. I know about the auto loot armour but I think nerfing myself for a QoL feature is silly.
      Bad graphics/ugly visual design - dull unimaginative environments, mostly empty cityscapes or buildings, low quality copy and pasted assets. I get the apocalyptic theme but it doesn't need to be boring.

      It's like Hellgate London but without an interesting skill tree, the lure of loot and modern QoL features - which is saying something when that game came out years before. I like grindy games but Remnant made me feel like I was wasting my time.
