More than 5000 reviews with 4.5 star average.

For anyone wondering what it is. It’s used to freshen up smell inside the car. Some users reported that it smells like new car - mixed reviews regarding longevity of smell with one user reporting 1 day and another 10 days. I personally have it and its not bad - a friend commented that it smells like shower soap YMMV.

Yeah have this….not sure i'd class it as a new car smell. It's just a passable scent imo…

  • New car smell is a mixture of chemical smells that haven’t “burnt off” yet. However shower soap would be OK.

Personally I just fart in my car. Works well.

    • do you then remove the soap?

    • Your farts smell like 'new car smell' ?

      • It’s subjective but I identify my farts as a new car smell so u need to respect my authoritah!

The soft rubbery/plastic Fluffy fabric softener refill placed in an unused door pocket keeps my work ute smelling like a teddy bears fart or whatever scent it's supposed to be.

Its been in there 7 years, unopened, and smells the same as it did when I first put it in there. Amazing as it's a dual cab filled with farts and BO.

    • great idea. do you just put the opened bag in there, or put drops of it?

      • +2

Sealed bag. Its never been opened or pierced. When you go to supermarket pick one up and smell it. The smell lasts at least 7 years and counting.

        • Is it supposed to have pores in the bag to get the smell out?

          • +1

@expertreader: No, it's just the rubbery packaging. It doesn't appear to have a porous covering, there is no residue in the door pocket. Its not in direct sunlight. In summer or when the car sits in the sun, the smell is strong and in winter it's much more faint. Car just smells like clean fluffy towels and flannelette sheets from my childhood.

A coworker has a scented wheat/rice bag that you microwave and use for muscle/joint relaxation. He replaces it every year or so and his car smells faintly of jasmine
