So weird that it isn't FIFA anymore.

    • +2

I mean lets be honest, it will be 97% the same game as FIFA 23 minus the licensing that they lost.

      • what licensing they lost please?

        • +4

FIFA increased their price for EA to get the FIFA licence, which they declined.

      • I think they didn't lose it, just opted not to pay and go on their own

    What is FC 24

  • Sim 5?

    PS5 or XSX?

    • With cross-play it doesn't matter anymore but Playstation has a bigger playerbase if you want to turn it off.

      • Why would one want to turn it off, is it because of PC cheaters?

        I never play online anyway

        • Yes unfortunately even with anti-cheat there were/are people using win/loss glitches but that only really matters for ultimate team mode.

But yeah if you play offline it doesn't matter at all. I prefer the to play it on an xbox controller myself, dunno what it is about the PS5 controller.

            @andigaming: obvious xbox fanboy

            • @mmcgr97: PC fanboy actually, I own a PS5 but primarily play on PC.

I've always prefered Sony consoles and owned all except PS1 (had an N64) but since the PS2 controller I've preferred Xbox controllers.

  • So would the game still have legal names for players and clubs ?

Not like pro evo soccer i hope.

    • +2

Yep, it's now FC (Football Club) and won't feature FIFA World Cup in the game but will revolve around the leagues (EPL, La Liga, UEFA Champions, Ligue 1, MLS, etc) with the rights to use player names, clubs and those tournaments so basically the same as previous games minus the FIFA World Cup tournament.

Pessi, Ponaldo, Maaland, Mpappi, Mellingham, Herarrd all seem legit to me…..

  • It will be $29 by black friday or any other sale prior to that.

    • +2

I dunno. I think the lowest FIFA 23 got to so far is $36, at least the XSX version. I've been checking for price protection claims :)

      • I got it for $34 with my eBay voucher.

  • Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment combined with gambling mechanics

Will wait for it to come to Game Pass, install and play 2 matches and then delete because I'm terrible (last good FIFA was FIFA 13)
