Bose May Replace Non-Working QuietComfort 35's with QuietComfort 45's on RMA / Repair Requests

Many people may not be aware of this, if your Bose QC 35 has stopped working, Bose might provide a free replacement with a new QC 45, even if it's well beyond the warranty period.

My QC 35 had been sitting unused for three years. Last week, when I attempted to use it with my new Fire Stick, I encountered an issue where my QC 35 would turn back on after switching it off. I tried Bose repair and replacement with little hope for a resolution since I purchased it back in 2016. To my surprise, Bose offered me a complimentary replacement of the QC 45 and even sent me a free return label. I sent my headphones back this Monday and have already received a notification stating that my new headphones are on the way.

  • Offered me replacement ones at a discounted price of $325. My Bose was from 2018

    • Yep I'm getting the same offer and mine are from ~March 2018 as well. Might only be certain batches.

  • I just tried my luck and no joy for me. The online system didn't work and instead offered me a replacement for $325. When I chatted to the support team they told me the headphones are out of warranty and offered the same thing. Said the suggestion that they were being replaced for free because of the issue is "totally wrong".

    Just to give another perspective.

      • Yep followed those steps exactly. I get:

        "Pick your solution
        We’re sorry.

        Your product is out of warranty, but we can replace it at a discounted price."

        The options are a black QC45 for $325 or which QC45 for $325.

  • Awesome, I returned just only the 'faulty' QC35 headphone with the micro usb charger, enclosed in a shoebox.

    Got my shipment confirmation email today that my new QC45 is on its way.

  • Worked for me! My old QC 35s were constantly turning on even though I turned them off. Did all the steps and have a new pair of QC 45 notified to be on the way thanks OP!

  • If you haven’t received the return label you can call and give them the confirmation service order number and they will manually send to you.

  • I talked to the Bose customer support chat and got my QC35ii replaced for free with QC45 , you have to push them , but if the issue is the same fault , then they will replace for free
