I'm always up for a good Gillette bashing session. Few companies are this adept at inventing solutions to problems that don't exist.
That said, I bought a bunch of the labs cartridges and a couple of handles on a crazy Coles clearance at the end of last year when my old Mach3 metal handle finally gave up, and honestly, I'm impressed. They have been slower to blunt and are giving a nice close shave, comparable to my safety razor. Certainly a lot better than single-use options.
I guess ymmv though.

The overpriced Gillette Labs razor blade has to be the worst design i've ever personally used. Better off with a cheap 10 pack i had to throw the thing out it wouldn't cut the fur of a half eaten peach.
