  • They must’ve not updated their terms and conditions bc it says the promotional period is in April 2023.

    • but on the entry page it says August.

Travel to Japan in a 737 with only 1 aisle and 2 toilets in the rear for 150+ economy pax????? Passsss I'd rather pull my finger nails out! 😂😂😂

Do they honestly think they can compete with a dreamliner etc for international travel? Only simpletons with points to use/earn would travel this way via Cairns. 🤦🤷

    • Is the config the same as a local flight or is there more legroom?

      • It's a standard 737. They have a VERY limited range of aircraft since being sold to the yanks. It's a 737-700, so nothing special apart from a newish looking interior, the nuts & bolts are your standard Mel-Syd workhorse.

Seat config identical, With the losers using points up the front 2x2 & the rest of the plebs squeezed in 3x3. Front toilet is for business class & crew, leaving the rear 2 dunnies for160ish pax.

Even Jetstar offer a better product for such a long flight, I can't understand their logic in using such a basic aircraft for such a long flight.

Even if they charged $99 a seat it's too much 😝

Especially when you first have to fly from other capital cities before boarding the international leg.

The journey is part of your holiday, so being bookended by flights on a 737 would be intolerable 😳😳😳.

        • FML, at 6'3" I can barely survive perth to melb in a 3 + 3 config, not to mention at 7hrs everyone will need to have at least 1, likely 2 visits to the toilet!

@reactor-au: I hear you….. they're cattle trucks. Not made for tall, let alone obese people.

And it wouldn't take much for a toilet to go out of service in 7 hours, let alone the queues once the bladders fill up an hour or two into the flight.

You'd make plenty of eye contact with others if you're towards the back 😂.

You're a long time dead, spend the extra $$$ and enjoy the trip with a proper international airline. 👌

            • @David 1969: For sure, I've made a mental note to check seating config before booking international
