TV Wall Mount Samsung S7 65” Help Needed

Hi All,

I have an older Samsung Series 7 65 inch TV which needs to be wall mounted. I’m looking for ultra slim wall mount.
I can’t seem to find out which wall mount will fit.
Samsung seems to have some amazing wall mount with no or less gaps between the wall and TV. It’s pricey at $125-$150 in Goodguys but doesn’t specify if this will fit older series 7 model.

I’m sure there are other brands out there which will fit and cheaper as well.

Looking forward to some tips and help from you guys.

  • That mount (probably) half the time won't work unless everything lines up perfectly. Plus, that does not work from what I can see from the Samsung website.

These are probably your best options with everything considered:

  • Thank you mate. I recently bought an 85inch Samsung TV and bought the ultra thin mount too. I think I’m screwed. I’ll see if I can return it.

The Selby link which you gave me is for 60inch max. My other TV is 65inch … I’ve seen the Bunnings link probably buy that.

    • My bad, didn't realise the Selby one only went to 60".

The Samsung slim mount won't work unless your vertical running studs perfectly line up or your horizontal studs line up. Check with the styd finder and see how you go, might get lucky and everything might line up.

If not, this is probably the slimmest option available but very pricey - https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/vogels-ultra-slim-elite-fixed…

      • Thanks mate. We bought a double brick house. Can this Samsung slip fit for my 85inch still going to be problem?

I’m still looking for a slim fit mount for my second TV which is the 65inch Samsung series 7.

The Bunnings one from above should work with the Series 7 - 65" and be fairly slim

Maybe a dumb question but what's the surface on where you're mounting the TV? Is it plaster or brick?

          • @yikes914: Hi mate it’s plaster. Is that going to be an issue?

Edit: just ordered the one you recommended from Bunnings. I can see there are two pulleys hanging it might look ugly if it’s hanging from the TV. I’ll try to hide it some how.

The next step is to learn how to drill holes on plaster wall. I have the tools but never drilled a hole. I’m a newbie DIY guy

  • try the vogels elite range, but its 15mm rather than 10mm. They have ones that cover up to 100"

the main issue is the type of wall and where the studs are (solid walls and you won't have a problelm), so you have a nicer balance

They all should be a standard VESA size (quick google says it should be 200x200), something like this would do the job

    • This is a great price. But doesn’t look to be a slim fit or am I looking it wrong?
I have solid wall double brick house.

  • Guys need help. I am new DIY guy and need to mount 85inch TV on solid plaster brick wall. I’m very scared and the TV is very heavy for me and my wife to pick up.

I called GG and they gave me a quote of $295. I think it’s very high. Is there other places I could reach out for a $100ish quote?

Airtasker is a hit and miss kind of a business. Not sure if that’s my only option.
