amaysim Mobile Sim in 4G Router

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone out there has used their amaysim mobile sim (no just a data only sim) in a 4g router and not breached any rules or regulations at all?

Felix Mobile can flag you if you do the above (mobile sim in 4g router) on their unlimited plan. I was wondering if Amaysim would do the same.

I'm looking to use it as a failover in addition to my NBN connection, but also for the occasional remote access with needing to always hotspot.

I couldn't find anything listed on their website; I have also shot them a message to see if it is allowed but hasn't received a response yet.

Any help would be great.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

No restriction. Use it as you like.

no problem with most. felix is an exception (just avoid them). a cheap option if you don't use a huge amount of data each month

for a backup only a 365 day plan might suit you

    • Great advice, thanks for the info.

    No problem at all.

Using Huawei B818-263 (from Optus), I can get up to 150 download / 50 upload (4G), but these depend on your location.

    • Thanks for the details, I've just checked this router, and it appears to be only 4g capable.

Any ideas for a 5g router? I know that Amaysim caps the 5g speeds, but I would like to get the most out of the investment if I purchase a modem.

  • I have a Belong Mobile SIM in a Telstra 5G Modem (5G Wi-Fi Pro)

    • OK, I'm not sure how this applies to Amaysim.

      Thanks for the input.

      • You mentioned that Felix can flag you, but so far Belong hasn't flagged me
