I signed up for a Cinebuzz account years ago and listed my age as 85. I’ve been getting $11 seniors tickets since.

    • so you just always book online though?

      • +4

        I thought everyone does these days… unless you’re 85.

        • well you would have to pay a booking fee

@froogletom: I think koisks can avoid booking fee

    • Does it says on the ticket that it's meant for seniors?

      • +1

Yeah it does. Haven’t had someone check my ticket in the 5 years I’ve been doing this though.

Can't you just check in through the app now so you don't even need a ticket? Iirc it doesn't even say if your a student on the phone qr code either. I have had someone in the past check my expired student card though but luckily I scrubbed out the date to the annoyance of the checkout lady.

How do you get through the ticket checking section?

      • Will they check your ticket detail? I just show and go

        • I've been too afraid to ever try but will now for the sake of the bargain

      • No one checks tickets at my local Event cinema.

But they don't publish what cinemas are playing what movies now to deter non-payers. Some eshay kid (bumbag, rats tail, loud, etc.) walked in and grabbed a spare seat for Oppenheimer. He left less than half an hour in haha.

        • are you sure thats the only way to check movie times is to look at their website

    • Those tickets are listed as limited to 2 specific cinemas however.
