Rowing Machine

Hey guys,

I've decided to purchase a rowing machine and have been looking for the best price for one. I know the best rower is a Concept 2 or a water rower, but those machines are out of my price range.

Ideally I'd like to spend as little as possible for something that won't fall apart the second I use it. My price range would be about the $300 mark.

Anyone know of anywhere I can get an air or magnetic rower for this price? I've checked the usual places (ebay, gumtree) but haven't found anything decent.

I've had a look at: http://www.oo.com.au/Confidence-Fitness-Magnetic-Ro_P41418.c…

But I read the computer doesn't measure distance travelled, which I'd like to be able to record.

Thanks in advance

  • For that price, anything you get will fall apart imho…

If you keep your eyes open, you can get a second hand C2 for around $600 (B models or lower I think). They'll last you for years and years of training and you can easily get spare parts for them (as opposed to the cheaps which are 'unsupported' so to speak)

I know not the answer you're looking for, but just my 2 cents!

    • Cheers for the info. I knew I'd be pushing it at my price range for anything decent.

I've had my eye open for any cheap 2nd hand C2 rowers for a while, but so far have found nothing.

I've found one that is just above my price range, but there's not much in terms of reviews or information. Here's the suppliers link to it. http://www.bfe.net.au/item_view.php?icategory_id=5&item_id=4…

Have you had any experience with this model?

  • Sister has pretty much the same one. Its rubbish

    • +1

Thanks for the heads up, I should have learnt by now that anything from oo.com.au is junk lol
