    Not many sizes left fyi

  • Limited sizes in both the Hallensteins and the Uniqlo deal…
I would have bought a black, grey and navy if they'd had them all in XL - but only Hallensteins in Navy was available in XL.

I found the Hallensteins ones to be very thin, didn't last. DJs brand have had for years and still looks new, cost 3 times as much tho

    Awesome buy at half price.

I have a few of these and, despite being quite thin, they are reasonably warm. I'm in SE QLD though so our winter is hardly freezing lol.

EDIT: Looks like XXS are the only sizes available for crew neck which is my preference.

    • Wool, like silk, is a relatively expensive material compared to cotton or polyester, so companies tend to use as little material as possible. Purchasing woollen clothing (and thermal underwear) online is hit and miss, some items have decent thickness, others are paper thin.

Unlike you, I find winters in Brisbane to be brutal and am almost always wearing multiple layers of clothing. Cats find winter unpleasant too, always seeking out sunlight in Winter. Our sick, emaciated 19 year old cat often goes into our bathroom at dawn and vocalises until we switch the little heater in there on for it, for a few hours until sunlight is coming in through the windows downstairs.

Thanks for brightening up my day, stranger

I like uniqlo but every wool jumper Ive got from them just falls to bits at the arm pit.

These thin knits are out of fashion this year anyway.

Try country road or a good brand from DJ or Myer. It will be $99 on sale much more worth it and last longer.

      • Thank you will do. I really need a good light knit ATM.

      • Do we have the gram/m2 data to compare both? Hallenstein is 280gm.

I'm glad it wasn't just me

  • Would've been keen on some crew neck but my size is gone. Have the cashmere crew & turtle neck, both extremely warm but quite pricey.

  • I have some 'merino' from Uniqlo and the jumper is very thin and I feel more cold than not wearing it. I think breaths too much or something. it has also shrunk like crazy after washing once.

    • Agree, their merino knits are literally rubbish after a few uses.

      • YA, There are literally gaps in the knit so it's not great insulation at all. It's made of merino I give them that. I think I paid $40 but not worth it compared to my country road ones for $80 from few years ago.

  • Thanks OP got one!

  • Thanks OP! Unfortunately the women's crew neck, which is my preferred style, is not on sale :( I like wearing these as a cheap inner layer and layering on top. Found a few on clearance about 6 years ago, and while I've gotten few holes, they're easy enough to do a rough repair/darn on. I don't have the dexterity to reweave it, but even then, you can't tell that it's been repaired.

  • Delivered in less than 24 hours! Thanks OP
