Hey guys, I currently live in Thailand where high end brands are 200-300% more expensive than in Australia
I would like to buy a few items for a wedding, but have hard time to find the best store
My friend coming over soon, so he can bring it with him. The forwarding services always catch it and ask me to pay crazy $$$ :)))

Thailand is great for getting clothes custom tailored. I rate it even better than HK.

It is a great place to get custom made clothes, but horribly expensive for top brand names
Why would you care about brand names when you can have something that fits perfect?
Have you ever been for extended period in Thailand or for example China?
The appearance (keeping face) gets you to places where you can't otherwise go
Some rooftop bars in Bangkok won't let you in if you don't have quality clothes, long pants, nice shirts and shoes
I bought my wife a beach bag from a certain 5* hotel brand, everytime we go somewhere we get the best seats and service. Because the staff want's work for that brand and they recognize from where it is.
Then I got her high end French brand bag for evenings and suddenly we get ocean front seats lol… If you go there with flipflops they put you somewhere in a corner

Birkenhead Point is an outlet centre in Sydney which has a few of these brands.Although quite limited range/sizes and prices aren't massively great discounts but it's an option to peruse.
It does strike me as an odd request when you can get a perfectly well made and tailored suit custom made in Thailand so easily. Just without the excessive label markup.
