Li-Ion Battery Pack Refurb/Replacement Services in Sydney?

I've got one of those impact massage guns (cheap Theragun). The batteries are dying quickly- I strongly suspect that a single one of the cells in series is just losing capacitary faster than the others and the whole pack is going out of whack because it doesn't balance charge.

I could try to disassemble the plastic casing around the battery compartment and install my own cells, but frankly this sounds like a huge PITA and I'd likely end up snapping some plastic catches somewhere.

Are there any services in Sydney that will do this kind of thing? Crack open a device and load it up with new 18650 cells? The rest of the massage gun is pretty good, it's just got iffy-quality cells and no balance charging circuitry.

Try 3d printing groups who can do it for you.

    • ^ 2nd this, its basically a DIY type of repair and most people won't due to liability.

      • Yeah, I can see the liability aspect might be a problem here but was hoping that wasn't the case as it's possible to buy loose cells.

I moved here from Asia, and where this kind of service of cracking open and replacing cells was very niche but there were skilled options to get this done.

I've actually got a printer, this isn't relevant to the service I'm looking for- a printed holder won't be as good as the factory produced one, and would require more effort in design/prototyping/assembly. I'll just have to give it a shot opening the casing non-destructively.
