From memory, it was $250-300 back in 2018? And roughly 80% of the time between now and then. There is always a sale.

It could be money laundering as some have stated in the past. It could also (more realistically) be cashing in on the admin fee, knowing that most people won't continue once the motivation disappears in a few weeks.

very low marginal cost so might as well keep offloading memberships for whatever they can get, haven't been in years and even back then peak time was overcapacity.

maybe i dont remember them having this many 'sales' ever? i got a membership for another 12mo probably 'wont' top up in case they go bust - bloke probably needs to sell a few of his Lambos

Also that I'm considering to move so might not be as conveniently well placed anymore for me either
id prob sign up against for the direct debit - if they go under you got a lot less to loss but it is still cheaper then pretty much any other gym
Sign up against for the direct debit as in you would do it for the per week but not the full upfront?

@drumrollplease: yea i think it 'protects' you incase they go bust part of my thinks they 'over-borrowed' on the business when they were expanding so they need money quick to keep debtors at bay

One staff said they are planning a new location in QLD North but unsure. Also, my local one is no longer 24/7 (bad). Will it change back? The deal says 24/7 which is false advertising. Still good price btw.
Though, will you get refund for those who registered a few days earlier ($213)?
