    If you have pets I wouldnt recommend the self emptying dock. Bags are tiny and the dock doesnt seem to get all fur out of the robot. Plus the dock bags get stinky fast.

    Also not sure it is just me, but the mapping on ecovacs N8+ is terrible compared to a roborock S5. Ecovacs constantly loses orientation or completely freaks out and starts a new map. I’ve moved the ecovac to more simpler part of the house with not many walls or corridors. Got use to it saying 'unable to locate' and trying to find the dock it just left.

    If it weren't for the mapping issue it would be a decent robot vacuum.

      Thanks for the feedback, was tossing up between the roborock Q7 max+ and this one, the Q7 was $999 at JB up until a few days ago but it's gone up $100 now. The search continues…

    Have a different brand from this expired deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/778698 … the dock is a game changer.

    Schedule more unattended cleaning and no risk of tipping dust everywhere. No way I'd ever buy one without the dock now. And get as big a bag as possible.
    (We just vacuum out the dock bag when we do our full vac each fortnight now. Takes 10 secs. Now the bag should last a long, long time before needing replacement)

    Our dock cleans out the vac 100% with no leftovers inc pet hair, long human hair (think women and long hair). Each 2 wks we need to pop the roller out of the vac and 'cut' long human hair wrapped around it with the included tool. Takes about 30 secs.

      Might be worth replacing the bag regularly as fine particles will eventually clog the bag material and prevent proper airflow. We are looking to upgrade from a Eufy X8 which requires the bin emptied every 2 days.
