Is This a Good Gaming Laptop ? Gigabyte AORUS 15 XE4

https://www.mwave.com.au/product/gigabyte-aorus-156-165hz-qh…

I was looking for a good mid range gaming laptop that can run games at the same FPS (at least) as my PS5/Xbox .
I know RTX4080 based laptops are better, but twice the price….
I was hoping to keep the price under $2500 spend to get a decent gaming laptop with QHD that can do some
-Photo editing
-Good gaming,
-Can hook up to an external QHD monitor
-and I can hook up my Steam deck to.

I know battery life on this looks shaky as per YouTube reviewers that's one thing that is holding me back.

Is this good or can I do better for under $2500

Thanks

Battery life is shit on all laptops when gaming.

Do you really need it to be a laptop?

    • Yes has to be a laptop .

  • Battery life is going to be shit on gaming laptop, and double shit on an Intel one because 12th/13th gen Intel is extremely power hungry. Wait for something with Phoenix Zen 4 (7840HS or 7940HS) + 4070/Ti to come into the local market.

    • Would that be $2500? I doubt it.

        Legion 5 Pro with a Dragon Range Zen 4 (7745HX) + 4070 is sub 2500 non-sale pricing. Phoenix + 4070, or even a 4070 Ti would be very doable for sub $2500.

I should've looked harder, this is already available: https://www.jw.com.au/product/asus-tuf-gaming-a15-15-6-fhd-l…. Centrecom and Wireless1 also carries it. Give it some time and there'll be more models from higher end lines with better screen and build quality

        • DAMN! Thanks.
