Boost Mobile: Profit Sims Question

Hi OzBargainers!

I'm just asking everyone who has experienced purchasing SIMs off Boost Mobile for little amounts of profit (cashback) via Cashrewards. In terms of activating the sims, I've had no issues, however, the SIMs which were activated back at the start of June are now expired with not really much use anymore (Don't worry! I've already redeemed all food discounts and other deals which require phone number verification). Since these phone plans have no use anymore, when I tried to activate new sims that I bought from the $1 profit deal the other day (this one) through the Boost Mobile live chat, they told me that I already had more than 50 Active Pre-Paid numbers still under my Boost Account and told me to wait 3 months to activate these new sims.

What can I do in this case? Is there any way to get the expired numbers off my account inorder to let activate these new sims?

Thanks so much! Hopefully, someone can help me out. Have a great day to whoever is reading this post.

Hahaha, I've made probably a total profit of $800-ish so far from April - June SIM purchases. The work is a bit tedious but it's worth it. Free number + free money! Happy days! :)

How do you avoid "SOMETHING WENT WRONG"?

Didn't happen to me back in April 2022.

You could rent yourself out to drug dealers in a sort of "Burner as a Service" arrangement?

      That's too long.

thought the limit was 15 and you could contact support to ask them to remove each individual number

suspect the support staff have to manually process each one and cannot be bothered processing 50? could try contacting seperate reps over different days to remove maybe 5 at a time?

    • I'll probably do that, thanks for the idea. The moment they remove the sim card, the number cannot receive any messages anymore, right?

        correct

will completely remove that number/sim from your account you will never be able to access it again

keep track of sim serial, associated number & order date to ensure activation within 30 day period and any notes on SIMs usage history to keep track of important numbers, can use that to find a SIM in storage and know which is best to cancel first

        • alrighty, cheers for the confirmation - I'll do the first load of removal sims first! thanks for your input. :)

  • Here I was worried to activate 1 new Boost SIM for profit.
Looks like I have 49 SIMs to go.

    • Haha, go for it! It's so satisfying knowing Boost is losing a very tiny portion of their net worth with each sim ordered!

      • Maybe not. So long as one in ten SIM starts recharge, it gains.

Just use more than one account.

I'm almost half way through buying a Tesla with Boost sim profits.

Which ones? I’m aware of JB Hi-Fi Perks $10 voucher. GYG burrito (but also requires unique device). What else?

    • I was curious about that as well ;-)

  • I recently asked boost and the active number limit is 5.

    • i recall if you have more than 5 active mobile numbers across all telcos that you needed to fill out a form until you can purchase more? at least at physical retail stores 5-10 years ago, dunno if your still meant to do that

    • Reply to a nearly-three month reply, but I need to activate three. Can I use the same Cash Rewards account for the rewards? Do I need different local mobile numbers to activate each Boost SIM? Asking as want to activate for three visiting relos coming over who only have foreign SIMs when they land.
