MSI GE60 worth buying?

I am considering buying a laptop for moderate gaming and everyday use. I am leaning towards the MSIGE60

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&c…

15.6in Full HD LED display
Intel Core i7 3610QM Processor
8GB (4GBx2) DDR3 1600MHz, expandable to 16GB
750GB 7200RPM HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M with 2GB GDDR5

I did consider the Clevo/metabox from:

I personally prefer to have a little design on the laptop. The MSI is also thinner which is convenient.

So the question is, is this worth buying or are there any other better laptops floating around in this price range?

Thanks in advance

  • Personally I would get an SSD, even if I put it in myself, long before picking an i7, or even i5. Storage and video chip are what will limit you.

  • Thanks. I have a crucial m4 from my previous laptop that I will be putting in.

  • +1

Be careful with non glare screens. In practise every single one I have seen look worse than screens that don't have that feature. Quite a bit worse. Especially colour quality.
