    compact, lightweight charger?
What a joke compared to GAN chargers.

    • specifications says its 210g. I personally use a Zyron Tech gan charger

You have to attach a big ass power cable to it.

        • Aren't 99% OEM chargers like this?

For real compact options the only choice is to go with 3rd party GaN chargers.

    • I got one of these recently, they are surprisingly small compared to the other bricks I've got. I will grant them small and light weight.

  • Will this work for a 65w lenovo USB-C thinkpad?

    • Probably will work because i think they use the same protocols

    • Quite possibly.

    • Any USB-C charger should charge any USB-C device. There's some spotty coverage for cheaper devices, but a Thinkpad will 100% work.

      • Oddly, Lenovo USB Type C chargers don't do 12v
        They'll do 5, 9, 15 and 20.
        Dunno why they skip 12v.

  • anyone know where can i find the hp 230w 3.5*4.5mm for my laptop?

$27 with free shipping for a 65W USB-C charger from the Lenovo Edu store if you have access

    • Can confirm ^ signed up for edu lenovo and it looks pretty darn good

  • no detachable cable.. kinda annoying/stupid design choice

    • most laptop major oem brands do that like hp, lenovo, etc

    • Don't buy it then? our work uses these chargers and they are fine, stops people unplugging the usb c cable from the charger and taking off with it.

It has it's uses, just because it doesn't suit YOUR needs doesn't mean it's a stupid design choice.

A removable cable still suits everyone's needs but it means if the cable fails, you're not stuck with a HP paperweight. So I stand by the fact it's a stupid design choice

    • yeah, if cable has problem it's the bin , not just another USB-C cable.

    • +2

Stops users plugging in an inferior cable then whinging to Lenovo/Dell that their power cable isn't working as advertised.

      • This, people buy cheap as thin wire cables off ebay and wondering why power capped at 40w./60w

      • That's a skill issue

        • You clearly haven't dealt with the 'customer is always right' people?

          • @xoom: I work in CS

            • @DeToxin: Then i guess you have dealt with or have heard of stories from colleagues where customers who are clearly in the wrong passing the blame on to the manufacturer?

  • I use this at home for my pixel 7 pro for bedroom, even with adaptive charging on, charges at max speed.

  • This is the same charger that comes bundled with HP Elite Dragonfly laptops.

    • Yes, ahve the same charger. The braided cable gives it a nice premium feel compared to the lenovo chargers.
