Which NBN option is best of these 2?

Hi

I have access to a CBA offer with More internet and a Bupa offer with Tangerine. Same company but different brands.

They work out to look like below

Tangerine: $39.90/first 6 months then $69.90/month moving forward – Total plan cost 12 months: $658.80

More: $53.90/first 12 months then $69.30/month moving forward - Total plan cost 12 months: $646.80

Should I start with Tangerine then swap to More or someone else (if there's a better offer) or go with More now given cheaper over 12 months

We also need to buy a router so assume easiest to just go with the erro+ they both sell or there a better option?

Thanks

Go in with your eyes open.
Their "support" is utterly useless. If you have a problem, be prepared to switch to get it resolved, and in doing so, be prepared to swallow the cost of the outstanding month.

      No it's not.

I've contacted More a couple of times to do with billing issues when switching plans and the fixed the problem straight away…

Other than that, connection has been rock solid and most of the time getting 260/23 on a 250/25 plan.

We have tangerine in a rural area and have never had any issues in the 2.5 years we've been with them

  • I had Tangerine for 6 months and moved to More CBA deal, as they are sister companies, I didn't even had to change PPPoE account details.

I use Netgear WAX202, got for $95 from Amazon, now it is $101 https://www.amazon.com.au/NETGEAR-WiFi-AX1800-Access-Point/d…

I was under the impression they are brother companies.

      • hi JV :P they told me those exact words when I contacted them for porting

Do what makes you happy… Be willing to jump if you aren't happy though.

That aside grab a Telstra modem if you need a modem cheaply.

Why are you basing it on 12 months when you can get Tangerine $39.90 6 months and then move to More: $53.90 12 months

  • There are 147 residential nbn providers, I'm prepared to go with the cheapest. Also recommend you try the cheapest plan. I'm on More @$46.20. If you don't like it you can always upgrade. Offering six tiers is simply marketing 101. The affluent will default to the most expensive, everyone else will go for mid-range.

    • The effluent will default to the most expensive

      crap..
