Moving to Brizzy. Anyone know of good accomodation around springwood? No Sharing

My daughter is moving to Brizzy in November to start a new job in Springwood.
Anyone know of some decent accommodation maybe fully furnished around this suburb. She has her own car and likes her own company so not really interested in sharehouse environment at this stage.

3 or 6 month period to start with just until she gets her self organised.

Thanks

  • You could try something like here: http://www.springwoodtower.com.au/apartment.php It does seem a little pricey and for those dollars you could probably start looking at renting a house, although that would be unfurnished and would be a 6 month minimum rental. Also with starting a new job it may be harder to rent with regards to employment history.
Other than that there is a lot of student accom around the Mt Gravatt area, which is only 5 mins away via the M1.

  • Thanks dude. I checked it out… seems very expensive… Is this the norm?

    cheers

  • Yep, as I said, you'd be looking at renting an entire house for around the same $'s however I don't know how much you factor in with regards to furnished v's unfurnished.
Springwood is quite a suburban area, so theres not much around in regards to furnished accom.
You could quite easily have a look around the south Brisbane area for furnished accom, especially around South Bank, probably a comfortable 15 minutes drive to Springwood south down the M1 in the mornings, especially as your going against the peak hour flow into the city.

  • Have a dig around on Gumtree.

  • There is quite a few nice unit/townhouse accommodation options around Springwood area for a modest price, 300-400. Not usually furnished though. There are a couple here that might interest you: http://m.realestate.com.au/rent/property-unit+apartment-apar… Also try Daisy Hill, Shailer Park and Rochedale areas. Nice suburbs too.

  • Thanks for your suggestions… That will keep me busy for a bit.
