You’ll need to repay Telstra for any vouchers you received when you purchased your plan. The Voucher Repayment Fee (if applicable) is pro-rated, equal to the total amount of the base voucher divided by 24 and multiplied by months (or part months) remaining in your plan term.
Terms say this:
"If you cancel or move to a lower cost plan then you'll need to pay a Voucher Repayment Fee pro-rated against the remaining months of your plan’s minimum term."
Not sure what the minimum term is but may be considered the entire 24 months of the contract.
Correct , I confirmed with Jbhifi on their upfront plans as well, you just need to pay 471 something if you cancel before 24 months .
So you pay $471 + (cost of the phone - $900)?
@MrFunSocks: Yes , I got my z fold 5 on the jbhi 69 plan, traded in watch to get the bonus 500 trade in coupon added it with 700 gift card for signing up on the 69 plan + 300 gift card provided by jb for preorder offer, phone cost 2599-500-300-700, if I cancel within the first month I need to pay 471 .
They need to get rid of antiquated 24nths to 12 mth only, and throw in bonus vouchers with trade in to entice zfold 4 upgrade.
Do Good Guys offer trade-ins?
Trade ins usually are not worth it. HN and Samsung use Asurion.

I never been on plan before…does that mean 1656 (24mths)- 900 or 1656 is already included $900 off?
What i think is that $1656 is the cost of the plan not including the price of the unit. Depends which one you buy minus $900 plus $1656plan cost.
I could be wrong, but my interpretation is:
(Phone full price - $900) + (69*24)
