  OK normally Rivers products are landfill feed, however ive had these shoes and they've lasted the occasional wear for a few years now. I actually use them for gardening. Probably the only thing I would buy from Rivers.

  The website doesn't show what sizing format it is, it just shows 7, 8, 9… Is it in AU, US, UK?

    Rivers use AU/UK sizes. In my experience they run slightly on the larger side, but not enough that I would buy a size under.

  I have a black pair I bought a few years ago that are used for casual wear for when my Red backs are a bit too casual 😊 Paid $59 and they've done pretty well for the price.

  I've got a few pairs of these in different colours.

  Quite comfortable for walking decent distances. Pair I've used most are only just starting to show some wear at back of sole after about 3 years with one to two days a week wear. Actually took the soles ages to show any wear at all.

  Inner is synthetic, but can't go far wrong with leather outer and rubber Goodyear welt sole for this price.

  They'll work as garden or farm boot, and just as well in the city with some jeans.

  Tend to be on the large side, so would go down half a size from your usual UK sizing (I'm generally UK 8.5 - these in 8 is about right for me even with a fairly thin insert for extra cushioning, but pair I have in 9 also works with a much thicker insert).

    It says it’s steel toe. Does it make the shoe bulkier/heavier than a standard boot shoe?

      May have changed since I bought mine, but have all three colours in this boot & none are steel toe.
