Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex

That's funny to me because I feel Estee Lauder attempted the 'SEO' route with that name but somehow managed to forget to mention what the product actually is (From the name)… They certainly got the 'Complex' portion right.

So what is it, put it on your face or hair?

        I don't know… Pubes?

      • It's a serum, you put it on your face.

  • So people are happy to spend $157 for 100mL of liquid to on their face at night… C'mon now

    • Guess how much per ml 'drugstore' mascara cost, or the cost of La Mer, it'll probably give you a heart attack.

And some people buy Ferraris… what’s your point?

  • Science tells us it's not much better than just a moisturizer. Come on, people can't be that naive!

    • A Toyota also gets you from A to B, just as a Ferrari does. What’s your point?

      • +1

At least the Ferrari gets you 0-100 in 2.9s.AS ADVERTISED. My point is most fancy skin products don't actually work as advertised. In fact, they stop short of making claims, notice this product doesn't actually claim to do anything? The using naming that seems to SUGGEST that they have fancy effects, but don't actually claim to do so, because they can't. Not much actually penetrates the human skin barrier, and the science is all there to those who are bothered to find out. If you look at the actual name of the title, it's just pure gibberish - Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex

        • You originally mentioned science… now you’re mentioning marketing ‘fraud’ lol

Go back to your cave and save some more pennies, troll 🧌

          • @wormarts: Do you have trouble connecting the lines? I hope you understand how to read scientific papers.

            • @clubhonda: I only connect dots. Lines are what create connections—lines themselves don’t get connected.

That’s where you’re going wrong… your thinking is all muddled up!

I recommend you try some fish oil. Now that’s something that’s definitely backed up by science 👍

  • I’ve used this before it feels good initially but to be honest has not done much for me overtime

  • Only HA, no retinol, no Vit C, fail!

    • It's a peptide product, kinda like The Ordinary's Buffet, that doesn't have retinol or Vit C either.

    • So, she’s trying to sell us something too?

      • This is just an example of an article that reveals how most "advanced formulas" and super ingredients are snake oil. There's also plenty of scientific literature which basically tells us the same thing.. that all we need are a basic moisturizer and sunscreen for skin care.

        • What she failed to recognise is that formula isn't the only reason why someone would spend $$ on a product. Other features like texture and finish are important for some, especially for people with certain skin types and/or use other products on top (makeup). Many cheap sunscreens leave me looking like a greasy white disco ball. I have to pay more for a formula that does the job without looking that, on top of being compatible with makeup products. That being said, I'm not prepared to pay $100 for a small tube.

Another thing is that she's considering the purpose of Serum to be the same or to replace moisturisers, which is incorrect. Serums are designed to treat certain issues, rather than simply moisturisering. Her knowledge is good, but out of date.
