Where Can I Get a $10 Google Play Card / Code?

I'd like to add $10 to my existing Google Play balance so that I can use the existing $21 worth of Google Play credit to pay for an annual $29.99 subscription.

I don't intend to buy anything else from the Google Play store and would prefer to only add $10. The minimum card value I was able to find is $20. Any suggestions where I could get $10?

  • Do you have another payment on your google account?

You can set it so it will prioritise google play balance and any remaining will be taken off your linked card.

    • Thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping it would work that way, but it didn't. I have a credit card registered to the account. The subscription payment is set up such that the balance is the primary method. I was hoping that Google would just use all of the account balance and the remainder would come from credit card, but the renewal came back as failed dues to insufficient balance:

"Your Google Play balance is too low to pay for your <product> subscription."

The subscription for the <product> shows payment methods as balance, followed by credit card. The credit card is valid and has more than enough funds to pay for the entire subscription.

I could go on a rant how over the last decade or so interacting with Google in any meaningful way has become impossible and the usability of their services and products gets worse every week, but that would derail the conversation I'm trying to have. ;-)

  • [Kogan First] $5 Google Play Gift Card $1 @ Kogan (1 Per User)

If you have someone else who can signup to a Kogan First trial so you can get 2 x $5 for $2.

Or you could just pay full price for 1 or both of the gift cards if you can't/didn't want to do Kogan First trial.

    • Thanks - looked into the Kogan deal. Two issues there:
      1. I've used my Kogan trial membership offer more than a year go.
      2. Limit of one $5 card, and I need about $9.80.

So, as you suggest, I'd have to rope two other people into getting the cards for me, which is going a bit too far in terms of inconveniencing others.

      • You can signup to another trial, they let you trial again very frequently. Even if you couldn't, you could just pay full price for the gift card, but yeah you would still need 1 other person to get another $5 as it's max 1 per person regardless it seems.

      • Just create another account yourself maybe on another device to be safe. and then just get another trial on your own account and boom, buy 2x $5 gift cards for $2

You can buy Google play gift cards in the specific denominations (In aud)

    $5,$6,$7,$8,$9,$10,$15,$20,$25,$30,$40,$50,$75,$80,$100,$125,$150,$200

You can ask the gift card master aka the Monster this question Where to get it from, I can assure you he/she would know about it. Honestly speaking not that difficult to find out from where you can get these denominations I said above. And no you dont need to pay for a membership to get these denominations, although you need a free membership of a company to which most OZb members are already a member of.

    • Great! How do I find this Monster so I can seek answers?

      • you can find his comments on the tomorrow's deal on
Everyday Rewards Points on TCN Him, Active, Pub & Bar, Restaurant, Cinema, Netflix or Stan Gift Cards

Not really sure how you do not know whom I am referring to, you've been a member since 2012.

        • I've had a reasonable go at finding a place to buy a Google Play gift card. I've tried at least five different alternatives and none of them will allow denominations of less than $20.

Maybe I just don't have the knack for finding these things, but it's not due to not trying.

Despite being a long time OzBargain member, I don't spend a huge amount of time on here, at least not to the point I would follow (m)any individuals. Up until now, I have had zero interest in gift cards, so from that point of view, I'm a n00b.

@peteru: Biggest hint you just cannot know about it after this hint

Major databreach in late 2020. Although i probably should have used some other hint, You should be a member of that company already, and hopefully already got an app in your phone for that company.

@USER DC: Why are you even beating around the bush like saying shopback is a taboo word? If someone doesn't care about cashback they wouldn't be familiar with shopback/cashrewards anyway.

You can ask the gift card master aka the Monster this question

Is this your personal nickname for them? I've never heard anyone call them that.
