Impossible to find price match policies nowadays?

I'm sure it was never this hard to find price match policies on store websites but now I can't seem to find them. I know they do price match thanks to ads and personal experience but it is never mentioned online anymore.

Here I am looking for the best price and I can't even work out if anyone will beat it!

PS: I tried searching for price match on the toys r us site, and it shows me gift cards -sigh-

The Toys r us pricematch policy link can be found at the bottom of every page in the help section.

    • right didn't see it before.
EB Games link doesn't seem to mention price matching anymore.
JB Hi Fi, myer and target don't seem to have links anymore either.

I'll keep looking tomorrow maybe I can find something.

      • If you do find the links, feel free to edit the page and make the changes.

        • I was already trying to update it :P

      • I never really had any success with EB price matching, I tried 3 times on different occassions then vowed never to buy ANYTHING from EB games ever again.

"We can only price match competitors we can verify by phone, and since they know our phone number and wont take our calls we won't try to phone them to verify, as such we cannot price match in this instance"

"We match competitors pricing, we don't class XYZ as a competitor therefore we wont price match them"

"That store is more than 2km from ours, they aren't local competitors, we only match local competitors"

        • Yeah I've had hassles with EB Price matching, wherever I went last time (I think it was HN) I was shocked when I found out the price match, and they have never been a problem.

I'm trying to find somewhere that will beat a price on a game though.

  • First Choice Liquor's 'Price beat' guarantee also got harder to find on their website. They used to make a big deal out of it - now its kinda tucked away.
They will still 'price beat' - by 10c!

    • +1

      Hey 10c is 10c.

  • I suppose they finally realised that if the deal is so good elsewhere why are you in their shop wasting their time??

Making an offer is the better way to approach it.
