Mortars around The Waste Pipe on The Brick Wall Have Fall out

Hi, my house is on stumps so the pipe is through the wall. I want to fill the gaps around the pipe as the mortar has fall out or cracked. The largest crack is around 5 x 2 cm and few tiny cracks.

As the wall is facing the afternoon sun so i need the mortar to be durable. I am just not sure what to get at Bunnings. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Does it need to be mortar? Plenty of strong, flexible fillers that will probably do the job.

Add a picture for a better answer.

    • Thanks. I just added the images.

Just use this. Follow the instructions carefully.

Chip out the old mortar first. Experiment by spraying some on some scrap cardboard first so you see how it reacts. It expands quickly and often more than you expect. It's easier to trim excess foam compared to cleaning up a huge sticky mess.

Bag of mortar….. I mean, how old is the house and current mortar? These things don't last forever.

  • expanding foam, sand it and apply mortar.

    • Can you show me the link? Please?
