Amazon seem to have the same price for the PlayStation pair, however can get Everyday Rewards points with this purchase. Good price for a quality pair of headphones, had mine for a couple years now and they are still going strong.

  • Also same price at Amazon AU

    • Only for the PlayStation ones though

      • It's the same one your linked in this deal post:

        PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 & PC

        • Correct, updated it

  • i used to have a pair of the gen 3 (i think) good headset but expensive

    • Definitely not cheap but worth the money imo, by far the most comfortable headphones I’ve owned

    • +1

Definitely not worth the price imo. I had a gen 1 and gen 3.

      • I still have a gen 1 set. They were expensive when I got them, but not this expensive!
Still, nearly 10 years on and they're still performing well… I shouldn't complain

Damn when are the G Pro X V2 Wireless going on sale? Let me get my crystal ball hahaha

  • Clearing stock for the new version called Logitech A50X i guess.

Be wary of these as a brand. I bought a pair and they died, got sent a free set from logitech(they make them) they also died, they sent me another set, which i have had issues with too. They are great quality and feel, but it shouldnt take 3 sets for known issues (widely documented issue)

  • Wouldn’t buy these, have had two pairs have issues with the Astro command centre a lot of people have the issues, unable to change bass, etc, stuck at one volume their support team doesn’t seem to even care to resolve it, sent so many emails and nothing could fix it, I acquire another pair brand new for cheaper off fb and same issue

Why in the world would you buy these when the Audeze Maxwell exists?

Such an outdated thing to present or recommend to anyone… though the bigger tragedy is that the Maxwell has gone up $30 AUD since launch. Still worth paying $100 AUD more for if you're after high quality wireless audio with low latency.

    • Logitech is more reputable and better on customer support than AwwDezeNuts.

They've been around longer, but that's about it. Feel free to post examples of Logitech have better product development or customer service though!

I've had these for a couple of years already, using them on PC, and here's my pros/cons
    Pros:

    • Sounds are decent. Different modes/EQ profiles can be saved and adjusted in the Astro Command Center
    • The game/voice volume feature is useful at times
    • Mic is clear
    • Battery life is amazing. Easily 12+ hours (advertised as 15+)
    • Ear cups are easily removed and held in with magnets

    Cons:

    • Heavy but you get used to it
    • The foam on the headband has compressed so much it is basically non existent. I've since replaced it with a knockoff but that is starting to compress too
    • Some of the matt finish has started to flake in some areas of the headband portion. Not much but enough to notice if you looked closely enough
    • There is a feature that turns the headset off if it is horizontal for a certain amount of time (around 20-30 seconds if I had to guess). I know its used to save battery but if you want to lie down or if you are looking down then it will auto turn off. This is the one thing I hate the most about it.

Big W sells 500 dollar headphones? Am I in the right universe?

  • Any recommendations for ps5 and xbox series x headphones. I have both but want one headset to share.

      • Just an update to this, though not relevant to the original question exactly: Sony Entertainment have acquired Audeze, getting them to produce some planar driver products, notably the Sony Pulse Elite (2023) Headset, which will retail for around $250 AUD.

Won't support XBox unless Microsoft allow uncertified headphones to be used, but it's a very powerful value proposition if it's Maxwell drivers with a cheaper dampening/enclosure structure.

Interested to see what Bluetooth codecs it supports, but it looms as a very good closed back option for home use. Very good times in audio ahead.

  • Avoid astros, they just aren't what they use to be. I have two pairs of Gen 1s and they still run, some old A40s and they are still fine, but when Logitech bought out Astros, the build quality went down. Gen 4s have so many issues and just don't last.

  • My gen 4’s lasted about 18 months. Constant connection issues with the series x the whole time I owned it. Where it stops recognising it. So you have to unplug the base station and plug it back in. Which has in turn caused the micro USB port to stop working altogether now. Once the base station is done, the whole headset is useless as there is no Aux port on it directly like almost every single other headset in existence

  • FYI
The G Pro x2 are on sale for around $359-379 at various online stores. I’m looking to replace my HyperX cloud flight S as the battery is dead and after replacing the battery, it’s not charging … Pity the newer HP built ones have really bad reviews vs the older Kingston built ones. Would have gotten the cloud2/3s if they were decent still.
