            @chastonts: It slides in and clasps in place. It's been the same since day one so Apple Watch 1 bands work with Series 8. But there's rumours that this year or next a new mechanism will be used. But rumours are often wrong.

      how does the latest version become refurbished? Do you have any idea about the reason of return of these, just after buying recently. Is there any functional problems?

        If you're going to get a used one you should consider the stainless steel model. The watch may be identical inside, but the finish is a lot nicer. The stainless steel gold finish matches the gold Milanese loop bands a lot better than the aluminium gold watch for example.

    Just a tad left field. Apple has a return policy for their products. If you must have the watch before the release date you could by it from Apple and then, if you want to, return it after the other watch is released. Then you could upgrade to the next watch or even buy it cheaper when the next watch is released. You just need to check the dates. It will cost a tad more but it increases your options.
