  • How does Mr Reporter know there is insufficient quantity?

    • Probably by adding the maximum quantity to their cart.

Is this like their hobby or something?

  • thanks op, got one.

  • Thanks op.

I wouldn’t bother with one of those. It will be painful to use around the curves and more intricate parts of the vehicle.
Something like this probably more useful:

You can also find this exact product and other clay towels on AliExpress for even less. Try the image search feature.

Clay barring is part of a process. You don't just Clay bar then wash your car and it's all done.

Claying your car actually introduces more scratches and marring. All you are doing is removing embedded contamination with a clay bar and scratching is a biproduct of that process.

    You need to:
    Wash
    Clay
    Wash
    Compound
    Polish
    Top coat.

I've used this product and recommend it….and as one of the forumites says,it's a part of a process.

  • Just remember if you should usually only clay before a polish since it'll probably marr a bit. A hand polish is usually enough for clay marks.

  • It's hard work, you really have to love your car and be enjoying the process in order to do it thoroughly and to appreciate the end result.

Edit: back in stock it seems, at10:08am.

  • I thought it was a synthetic tongue… Now it's gutter time

  • used it before on a 2015 car that hadn't been clayed before and it was pretty useless.
i kept it lubricated during use but when i ran my hand through the body it was still bumpy.
i ended up using Meguiar's clay bar and it was smooth like a baby's butt after.

i know it's not meant to be as good as a clay bar, but imo it's a waste of money…perhaps this is meant for cars that have less contaminants than mine.

  • looks like a cricket crotch protector
