Good Scissors for Haircut

With cost of living keep increasing, it's time to get creative….
Just looking at both our hair, there is no reason why we can do a bit of trim every now and then.
Just need a good pair of scissors, plus maybe thinner. Havent got a cape yet.

Has anyone has anything to recommend? Something in the mid-price range, doesnt need to be too "professional" (read: pricey)

Thanking you in advance!

Have you found a suitable bowl yet? (If not, I can ask my parents which one they used on me before).

I've found these to be good quality. Not that I am an expert- my point of comparison for cutting my kids' hair were previously random kitchen scissors. Don't try that, it sucks.

Manicare 32400 Hairdressing Scissors 16cm. Wait until it's 1/2 price.

Source: I cut my family's hair during lockdown plus my own (thank-you TikTok).

  • Any decent sharp scissors will do. And I stress "sharp".
You will want some clippers as well. Plenty of tutorials on youtube.
It isn't too difficult to get a reasonable result, but takes time if you are not practised.

  • Thanks all for your recommendations, we are checking them out now.
    Cheers!
