The day will come when they give away the DLC for free so that you will buy the game. 😅

    Not THIS game, but generally.

    • Would there even be players in legacy cod's?

      • They recently fixed the matchmaking and I've been playing MW2 on 360. Easy to get a game still.

      • I played a few a couple years back and there were enough for games to start, but almost every lobby would be hacked with invincible plays and nonsense, wasn't worth playing.

    • How much is this game to buy anyhow

Ahh the memories, COD 4: MW was responsible for so many awesome gaming moments on my 360 and the pc version as well. I was devastated beforehand as the game took players away from my favourite FPS at the time Rainbow Six Vegas. But playing the game myself, I quickly got addicted to it as well. I always liked COD, but fell away not long after COD 2 came out…. jumped back in with 4: MW, continued with World at War. The first Black OPS was when I started falling out of love with COD again. The game was far too buggy for me to persist with (I'm aware I missed out on fun multiplayer times). Played MW 3 briefly, but didn't jump back into COD again until MW 2 came out last year.

Good memories…I too got into Cod with 1, 2 and then massively with MW, and a little with WaW. I dropped out at MW2 as they ripped out so many features from MW for hardcore PC players, like dedicated servers and modding support.

Played some Black Ops but also found it pretty buggy. Campaign was new and interesting but even that was forgettable compared to MW. Left Cod for a long time until the new reboot MW, and loved it. Then new MW2, but unfortunately that has had so many problems from lack of initial content, bugs, poor gameplay decisions, to weird community issues like the skins debacle. Not really a fan of MW3 coming out so soon afterwards, another $100+ when it seems they've only just released a good amount of content for MW2…but we will see I guess. Suffice to say I won't be preordering it.

Wait, I've been out of the loop for some time. Were they trying to sell the DLC that came free with the original game back in the day..?

    • Yeah I remember it was free back in the day now that you said it! So it should just be free now!

  • I've tried to download this one on an Xbox 360 and it shows up as a free download, and also shows up as purchased in my account on PC, but trying to install/download needs an "Add Payment Option" as it has a $9.95(1) next to it with "including tax".

Seems a tax charge of $9.95 is needed and not free for me. Any ideas?

  • Are servers good in aus?
