Several Rodd and Gunn caps are on sale for $19 down from $49 with the bonus of free shipping. May only be something a few people are interested in but thought I'd post it up as they don't do sales often.

    I do agree they are better looking, I only like the gunner cap (I like the doggy) out of the ones on sale but thought I'd post them all just in case someone prefers the others. I'm still very tempted by the merino wool beanie as well, $49 for merino is pretty good.

  I prefer caps made with cotton. More comfortable and they wear well with time, ie. frays on the cap peak. This also comes with a buckle, not plastic snap on adjustment strip.

  For $19 including delivery this is a good deal. You will pay $30+ at Rebel Sport for something similar.

  Not quite as good a deal as the Caltex Techron cap, which was surprisingly good quality, albeit you are advertising a fossil fuel company

    But yes, the Caltex caps aren't bad for freebies. They are even collectors items since the rebranding to Ampol.

    To be fair, for comparison, many of my bigw and target clothes purchased from even a decade ago back in uni were made in Bangladesh and are still in good condition today compared to recent purchases from these stores and whatever country they use now.

  Received the cap today. It's worth $19 but not happy with Rodd & Gunn's inflated website pricing to make sale items attractive. Website showed the caps as $49 RRP. Cap when delivered had tag showing $29 RRP. These false web pricing practices need to be discouraged. I won't be buying from them again.

  For $19 it's ok. Cap material and buckle feel good quality. But the pup image on the front isn't stitched as I thought it was, rather it's just some sort of plastic printed decal.
