    I don't know about that. When you do cut yourself with these razors, they feel pretty real.

      I think they were up to 3 or 4 blades when I stopped using them. They seemed to last a similar amount of time as a decent double edge razor blade.

    You can keep using your Astra Platinum Double Edge blades, but my old man (same hairiness scale as me) was using blades for decades and then moved to Gillette razors.
    I am not going back in time.

      Of course each to their own.

      I used to use Gillette for years, as they were the best cartridge razor and I have a pretty thick beard. I moved to using a safety razor and really, unless you do something stupid you don't get cuts, pretty similar in safety as a cartridge razor.

      I also use a tube of Proraso shaving cream, which lasts forever… better than shave cream cans and soap.

      It's a much more satisfying shave at a much lower cost.

      I introduced my brother to the same and he's wrapped as well, would never go back.

      All I'll say is, it's worth a shot, you can pick up a pretty cheap safety razor. If you don't like it you can go back to cartrdge razors…. but my eyes have been opened.

    I think they must be out of immediate stock now, I think it bumps to 1-4 weeks and they get rid of S&S once they sell all warehouse stock.
