Looking to head to the goldcoast for a week in November.
If anyone knows where a good place to start the bargain hunt please post.

Is it cheaper to book flight and hotel seperate?
Should I use compare websites?

Webjet or adioso for flights.
Wotif, Quickbeds or lastminute for hotels.

Try the one day deals such as allthedeals.com and look under travel. Some good deals there and also Scoopon. A friend recommended Ultimate Getaways to me and it looks cheap http://www.getawaysaustralia.com/welcome/page1.php but I have not tried it. Do you have any friends with timeshare? If so you can get cheap holidays with rental or bonus weeks.

Also try shopper dockets for Queensland. You can search and print them in advance. There is often an adults at children's prices for Currumbin.
